Waking up after camping on several inches of snow to a temperature of 21 degrees and then getting a wee bit lost (ok, pretty darn lost) in the woods may not be most people’s idea of a good way to spend the first half of Thanksgiving break, but it certainly was for the new recruits of Adventure outings.

AO’s Fall 2014 class of Assistant Trip Leaders is, as always, an impressive bunch.  Six of them spent the first 5 days of Thanksgiving break backpacking through Lassen National Forest and Lassen Volcanic National Park.  The crew faced rain, sleet, snow and wind but mostly enjoyed sunshine and crisp temperatures.  The last evening at Blue Lake treated the group to a beautiful sunset, seen below.  For more photos from the trip head over to our Facebook Page and for more information on working for AO visit our website.
